How does your studio reflect your style?
The studio is a mix of old and new and very casual. It is spontaneous like my paintings. Not always tidy.
I love that my studio is on the top floor of my 1903 house. The large windows look out over my gardens. Als my paintings take 8 weeks to dry so it is fun to have them drying all over the walls.
.
What pieces in your studio inspire you?
There are always bouquets and vintage vases and jars
Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
My creations are all original oil on canvas paintings, mainly floral. I use a palette knife to achieve the texture.
What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?
When I first began focusing on florals my colors were all warm, especially red. I am now working on a group of gray neutrals.
What is the one tool used in your creation process you treasure the most?
I couldn't paint with out my palette knife and I love cupcake icing texture of the paint I apply.
What are the books or magazines that inspire you?
I love gardening books, Art Collectors Magazine
What changes/upgrades would you like to make in the future?
It is fun that the upstairs of my house had been converted to an apartment in the 1920's. Next to the room I use as my studio is a small former kitchen with a sink. Better lighting and more storage are on my to add list.
