How does your studio reflect your style?
I'm always on the move. I moved 27 apartments and since I work in graphic design and on the computer for the last 25 years my working space looks the same every time but with a different address. The technical part of my work is made on the computer and I sit there for hours.It is always very warm and cozy, colorful with soft sheer curtains and shabby rugs, a sofa or chair for customers to sit on.

What is the favorite part of your studio?

A small wooden table with my computer, comfortable chair, colorful design books and magazines and all kinds of small stuffed toys that have a spiritual symbol for me

What pieces in your studio inspire you? 

My working space is very functional but artistic. Small cabinets and shelves with everything I need. Everything is in place. My inspiration board has on it things that always reminds me the beautiful and important things I did in life.My 3 children, big and important projects that I made in graphic design and quotes that make me smile..

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?

On the walls are my pictures that are printed on canvas and formed in a special way .

I change the canvas prints on the wall every once and a while. According to the color and muse I am in.

My children love my table and room, they always find there interesting and creative things.

All my children are creative in many fields, drawing, sculpturing, writing and photographing so we all inspire one another.

What changes would you like to make in the future?

I like the place I am in now, I love the Etsy community and all that it brings to me. Inspiration, talented artists from all over the world to talk to and I enjoy it every day.

For now the only change that I can think of is moving to a studio outside my home where I can teach how to open Etsy shops. This is another thing I've been doing for the last few months and it's growing fast.

I guess my work space there will look quite the same :)

How does your studio reflect your style? My studio, is my dining room. I would love to have a separate room but in our small home that is our free space. It is simple and I try to stay organized. I like the clean lines and organization. But, I confess when I am really busy it gets disorganized quickly.

What is the favorite part of your studio? My favorite part of my studio is my storage cabinet. My cousin left it when she went away to the Airforce Academy and my Aunt didn't need it anymore. It holds everything perfectly and it helps me stay organized. I don't know what I would do without it!

 What pieces in your studio inspire you? I am constantly finding new laces and flowers to try with my bridal clutches. Right now, I have on display my vintage lace that I found at a yardsale. It is lovely and delicate.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces? I have an antique roledex on my cabinet. I bought it at my favorite resale shop to sell on Etsy, and I have decided it is too beautiful to part with. It adds character and even has some faint writing of old phone numbers. I haven't dialed any yet...

What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?  My favorite color pallette in my homes are neutrals - beiges and browns paired with a pop of color in henna red or orange. I also have a little yellow in my home that adds warmth. When my table is actually used as a dining space, you will find a bright orange, textured table runner or a striped tablecloth with my favorite colors to tie in all the colors in my home.

What are the books or magazines that inspire you? I would say real life. I don't have a particular magazine or book that I reference. When I am waiting in line at the grocery store, I will quickly breeze through bridal magazines to see what the latest trend and color scheme is. But, mostly my inspiration comes from brides. Many of my favorite creations were generated by custom requests from brides. I am always so pleased how their ideas help me come up with something I had never thought of before.

What changes/upgrades would you like to make in the future? My own room! I would love and especially my husband, to have my own space where my supplies and workspace weren't always out for everyone to see. There I would be able to add character and more organization. I confess I love organization, I just might not always know how to implement the tools. I have a few storage bins in the garage just waiting for a purpose!

How does your studio reflect your style?
SIMPLY FUN! Think Alice In Wonderland with a spin. Strong hues of red and white walls, juxtaposed with chandeliers and baroque print curtains, mirror and just when you think its heading down a particular alley in décor, its jumpstarts you into the modern world with wooden shelving and funky toy figurines adding that extra splash of colour. The effect is simply crazy but extremely fun to put together and that’s the way I like things to be! A kaleidoscope of sorts!

What is the favorite part of your studio?
Its got to be the bed! Back in our country of Singapore most of us do not have the luxury of space to accommodate a studio in our apartments. Due to such space constraints, my bedroom naturally doubles up as a study and working studio! It’s a tight space but I would say everything is within easy reach. It certainly helps though that I have a mighty long desk to work with!

What pieces in your studio inspire you?
I do not link my inspiration to any item/s or setting in particular for I believe that inspirations are all over and its just a matter looking hard enough for them. However, having said that, I did start off my current line of tree accessories holder and centerpiece with the pseudo ghostly trees that I handpainted on my wall years back. My list of muses extends as far as watching Animal Planet on television to licking popsicles in bed.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
Unfortunately I do not have any vintage décor pieces yet BUT hold your horses as I do have some ideas up my sleeves that involves a mash up of different medias, styles and periods to come up with pieces that I assure you are going to be stunning!

What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?
I do not have a particular favourite color palette but i do normally experiment with the safer colours like black and white first for general receptivity before delving into more obscure color selections for niche consumers. For someone like me who love all kinds of color mixtures, prints and textures, I particularly enjoy embracing challenges to create beautiful works out of the plainest colors.


What is the one tool used in your creation process you treasure the most?
It has got to be this pen-cil that I bought from Japan that allows me to switch between colors and function of a pen and pencil simply from the way I hold it. Talk about design! I suspect it’s a ball bearing that helps the switch within but I guess I will never know until it dies on me! Fingers crossed. This pen-cil has been such a handy tool for me to pen down my thoughts, make doodles, take measurements and I simply adore the simple aesthetic look of it! You can never tell nor imagine the complexity of it with just one look.

What are the books or magazines that inspire you?
I simply adore a monthly magazine published locally here in Singapore called Home and Décor. Lots of visuals of interesting products, home ideas right down to practical home solutions and features articles of both local and abroad. For one, I am a really visual person and dig the neat layout of the magazine.

What changes/upgrades would you like to make in the future?
Not too much to ask for but, here goes:

1) A Standalone Studio

2) Not just any studio but a full glass studio (akin a greenhouse)

3) On top of that, make it a rotating one that offers me a stunning 360 degrees panoramic view all day. (This will so drive my creative juices crazy)

4) Anywhere above the 20th floor sounds really nice

5) Oh, and lastly, a mega collapsible storage space that tucks my products and equipments neatly underground.

Now, that’s not too much to ask for is it?

How does your studio reflect your style?
I work at home. My studio placed in veranda, there is a lot of light,
air and space. I still have a special wardrobe, because I work with
fabric and need space to keep it. My place to work is my big table.
But as I’m creative person it’s always in disorder) And I always
fight with my husband to keep my table as I want. For me it’s not
disorder but MY order. If I have all things on the table like want my
husband I lose inspiration. I think all creative persons are like me.




What is the favorite part of your studio?
I like to sit with notebook on the left part of the table for edit photos in the morning.


What pieces in your studio inspire you?
There are flowers behind my work table and on the left of it. I like
to look on it. Flowers are my passion! I have balcony full of flowers.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
All furniture in veranda including my table are vintage. It have at
least 40 years. Support for flowers is vintage too.





What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your
space?
I like blue tones – for me are colors of sky and freedom. I like red –
color of passion, white because it’s color of purity. I painted wall
in the kitchen beside veranda and these are flowers: red poppies,
white camomilles and blue campanulas. I like bright colors – colors of
life. You can see it in my shop.

What is the one tool used in your creation process you treasure the most?
My Sewing machine, it’s Pfaff Select 3, and my camera. For my 30 birthday
this year my husband made me a gift – new camera Canon G11.

What are the books or magazines that inspire you?
I like Russian magazine “Around the world”. It’s interesting to read
and always has amazing photos.
The books of M.Muller and son are inspire me strongly. These books are about designing clothes.
