How does your studio reflect your style?
I've always been a bit of a collector and an organizer, so I think that comes out in my studio space.
I like to display treasures that inspire me, so I always have a lot of little things around.

What is the favorite part of your studio?
It's broken down into the creation side and the office side, so it's definitely where I can make a mess, create new things and brainstorm products!

Artistic Space Room Craft room Art Studio Office Supplies Must Have Art Supplies
What pieces in your studio inspire you?
My favorites are the Horrible Adorables(the faux taxidermy: HorribleAdorables ) and other artwork I've found on Etsy like Solocosmo  and PaperGangsterPrints.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
Lots! I'm always browsing etsy and make sure I take the time when I do markets to visit the other artists and pick up some of their work.

What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?
Subconsciously I often go towards teal, red and chocolate with an industrial look. For artwork I'm usually drawn to  bold and bright colors. I haven't decided on a wall color yet, but I'm working on it!

What is the one tool used in your creation process you treasure the most?
For my work it's more about utility then really treasuring anything...I love a good spatula though!

What are the books or magazines that inspire you?
I read way too many magazines and a lot of books. For awhile I was stuck on zombie apocalypse books, which is when I started doing a lot of zombie soaps.
I often draw inspiration from beauty magazines like Allure about what the upcoming trends are in color palettes and fragrance.

What changes/upgrades would you like to make in the future?
I'm still hunting around  for some more permanent cabinetry and giant solid surfaces to work on, but for now
I like utilizing my market tables and being able to move them around as needed.

How does your studio reflect your style?
I'm always on the move. I moved 27 apartments and since I work in graphic design and on the computer for the last 25 years my working space looks the same every time but with a different address. The technical part of my work is made on the computer and I sit there for hours. It is always very warm and cozy, colorful with soft sheer curtains and shabby rugs, a sofa or chair for customers to sit on.

What is the favorite part of your studio?
A small wooden table with my computer, comfortable chair, colorful design books and magazines and all kinds of small stuffed toys that have a spiritual symbol for me

What pieces in your studio inspire you?
My working space is very functional but artistic. Small cabinets and shelves with everything I need. Everything is in place. My inspiration board has on it things that always reminds me the beautiful and important things I did in life.My 3 children, big and important projects that I made in graphic design and quotes that make me smile..

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
On the walls are my pictures that are printed on canvas and formed in a special way .
Small tiles of art printed on canvas surrounded with a frame on the wall..
I change the canvas prints on the wall every once and a while. According to the color and muse I am in.
My children love my table and room, they always find there interesting and creative things.
All my children are creative in many fields, drawing, sculpturing, writing and photographing so we all inspire one another.

What changes would you like to make in the future?
I like the place I am in now, I love the Etsy community and all that it brings to me. Inspiration, talented artists from all over the world to talk to and I enjoy it every day.
For now the only change that I can think of is moving to a studio outside my home where I can teach how to open Etsy shops. This is another thing I've been doing for the last few months and it's growing fast.
I guess my work space there will look quite the same :)

How does your studio reflect your style?
I love love love colors! They make me happy and always fill me with energy. Just to see a color or "exist" in a color can influence my feelings. The studio where I work is really colorful: warm green walls, dark furniture, a red rug. The place is colorful but uncluttered. I find colors to be more inspiring than distracting. I find it easier to focus when everything is balanced around me, a neat, tidy and nice atmosphere which is never boring.

What pieces in your studio inspire you?
I have objects on my table I love very very much. These are also the things that inspire me. Not because of their color or shape, but because I love them. They aren't particularly beautiful, they are just nice to me for some reason or other. I also love ambiance lights, candles and small lamps. They calm me down, and they make any space nicer.

What is the favorite part of your studio?
I love every place where the sun shines, but I spend most of my time at my table, working on my illustrations.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces?
Yes, there are also handmade and vintage pieces in the room. Drawings and prints on the wall, paintings on the floor by the wall and old books. Not really as decoration but as inspirational reading matter.

What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?
Lately, the color I’ve been using frequently is blue. My favorite color - the color I love to use in my works, that is - changes from time to time.
That's one of the reasons I like a colorful working environment.
In my work, I love to mix intensive, strong colors with the tones of the same color or with a color which is near  this color on the color wheel , like mixing  blue with green or yellow or  mixing red with purple or yellow.  Clear blue or turquoise, yellow, and maybe red  - these are the colors which have been inspiring me recently.
Intensive colors I like appear in my studio as well, the colors of the  the walls, the furniture, the accessories and lights create a strong contrast.

What is the one tool used in your creation process you treasure the most?
I like to draw in the traditional way, putting down my ideas on paper. I like traditional tools and materials like paper, pencil, ink or paint. I enjoy choosing between different kinds of paper with different thickness and texture, I enjoy comparing the various tones of white paper. I just love clean paper, love to imagine what will be created on the paper, and to draw the first line. Also, blank paper or a blank canvas inspires me. There is always the possibility in the blank, empty surface for something to be expressed that has never been expressed before.
I also use a digital table, which I like very much, but sometimes I feel that there isn't a real connection between my emotions and the character, the shape and dynamics of the lines.  At the same time, there is no doubt that digital tables are exceptionally useful tools.

Art Studio Tours: The Sweetest Memory

Home Decor Ideas Craft Room Office Home Decorating Ideas Pinterest Interior Design Sewing Room Small Space

Shop: The Sweetest Memory
Owner: Kari

How does your studio reflect your style? My studio, is my dining room. I would love to have a separate room but in our small home that is our free space. It is simple and I try to stay organized. I like the clean lines and organization. But, I confess when I am really busy it gets disorganized quickly.

What is the favorite part of your studio? My favorite part of my studio is my storage cabinet. My cousin left it when she went away to the Airforce Academy and my Aunt didn't need it anymore. It holds everything perfectly and it helps me stay organized. I don't know what I would do without it!

What pieces in your studio inspire you? I am constantly finding new laces and flowers to try with my bridal clutches. Right now, I have on display my vintage lace that I found at a yardsale. It is lovely and delicate.

Do you have any handmade or vintage decor pieces? I have an antique roledex on my cabinet. I bought it at my favorite resale shop to sell on Etsy, and I have decided it is too beautiful to part with. It adds character and even has some faint writing of old phone numbers. I haven't dialed any yet...

What is favorite color palette and how did you implement this in your space?  My favorite color pallette in my homes are neutrals - beiges and browns paired with a pop of color in henna red or orange. I also have a little yellow in my home that adds warmth. When my table is actually used as a dining space, you will find a bright orange, textured table runner or a striped tablecloth with my favorite colors to tie in all the colors in my home.

What are the books or magazines that inspire you? I would say real life. I don't have a particular magazine or book that I reference. When I am waiting in line at the grocery store, I will quickly breeze through bridal magazines to see what the latest trend and color scheme is. But, mostly my inspiration comes from brides. Many of my favorite creations were generated by custom requests from brides. I am always so pleased how their ideas help me come up with something I had never thought of before.

What changes/upgrades would you like to make in the future? My own room! I would love and especially my husband, to have my own space where my supplies and workspace weren't always out for everyone to see. There I would be able to add character and more organization. I confess I love organization, I just might not always know how to implement the tools. I have a few storage bins in the garage just waiting for a purpose!

My name is Natalia Gruszecka. I live and work in Wroclaw in western Poland. It’s a beautiful city with old antique building and river with more than 300 bridges . The atmosphere in the city is artistic and full of creative energy.

I’m a ceramic designer working in my own studio called ENDESIGN. I am responsible for all the process of creating a product – from an idea to making a prototype and then ready cup or vase.
My favorite material is porcelain. I love it because of its quality, pure white color and transparency. You can make out of it objects so thin as it was made from paper.

My goal is to combine in my work modern urban look with best quality, luxurious material.

I am inspired by geometry and mathematics, it’s a world connecting chaos and regularity. I also like to reuse old objects with history and “soul”. Give them new function and meaning.
I design “every day use” objects, but their utility is not the most important thing to me. The first thing I work on is the idea and shape. It has to be unique and interesting.

My workshop is a new place that I own with two other girlfriends also ceramic designers.
We have just moved there two months ago and its still quite empty and tidy.
What I love most about artists workshops is their own life and personality, but they need some time to gain it.
Now our space is divided into two parts. First is working area with all tools that ceramic would need and kilns. Second is gallery where everyone can come to see and buy our stuff.
